He's not letting a broken arm stop him from doing anything...not even writing!
On Saturday the 15th, I had a 'girls day out' with a friend, which ended up being more like 'homeschool moms day out' since we spent 4 hours looking at homeschool stuff at Mardel! I decided to switch back to BJU Press (Bob Jones) for 1st grade English, which is what we used in Kindergarten. Rod & Staff was not really working for us. Gabriel loves being back with Bob Jones (and so do I!).
In the mean time, Cary and Gabriel had fun at a car show...
Monday the 17th...back at the doctor's office. First they took a couple of x-rays...and everything looked great!
They took the splint off and put a cast on. He has to wear it for a total of 3 weeks, so it should come off 2 weeks from today!
He was very happy that they had his favorite color, yellow!
And back to homeschooling as if nothing's happened!
Hey, how’s Gabriel’s arm now? It’s very inspiring to see that the injury never got in the way of his normal way of living. He is a very strong boy! The car show must’ve helped him forget about it for some time, if he was even ever bothered by it. :D Those cars – classic, customized, sporty – are enjoyable to look at. Maybe they can even be therapeutic!
