Camping in Platter Flats, OK

Last weekend we went camping in Platter Flats, Oklahoma (about 40 minutes from where we live).
Gabriel's first root beer float at A&W!
 The verdict...

 Ready for a trail ride...

Gabriel bringing Daddy the walkie talkie.
 Beautiful!

He loves running around with his dump truck!

 Talking to Daddy!
 Time for a short break...

 Back up and running!

The next morning...going to feed Butterfly.

 Looking for animals tracks...
 Found some tracks!

 Our little family...
 Making coffee and breakfast...

Coming back from a trail ride.
That mud was a little deeper than expected...thankfully everyone was okay, just a little wet!

Dirty boy telling me all about the trail ride!
Reading their Bible / Bible verse book in the tent...
Free toys!
 Going for a motorcycle ride.
 Back from the ride...
 ...with motorcycle hair!

Car show and broken arm

He's not letting a broken arm stop him from doing anything...not even writing!

On Saturday the 15th, I had a 'girls day out' with a friend, which ended up being more like 'homeschool moms day out' since we spent 4 hours looking at homeschool stuff at Mardel! I decided to switch back to BJU Press (Bob Jones) for 1st grade English, which is what we used in Kindergarten. Rod & Staff was not really working for us. Gabriel loves being back with Bob Jones (and so do I!).

In the mean time, Cary and Gabriel had fun at a car show...

Monday the 17th...back at the doctor's office. First they took a couple of x-rays...and everything looked great!
They took the splint off and put a cast on. He has to wear it for a total of 3 weeks, so it should come off 2 weeks from today!
He was very happy that they had his favorite color, yellow!

And back to homeschooling as if nothing's happened!
