Wednesday morning...

What a view to wake up to!

Going for a walk...Gabriel loved climbing the rocks!

Off to visit Florissant...this was close to the cabin.

The tiny town of Florissant...

We had lunch at the Coffee House in Florissant...this was my view. We loved all the antiques, but found out pretty quick that the people in Colorado are not as nice/polite as they are here in Texas!

We visited the Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument. Didn't take pictures that day, so I borrowed a couple from their website. We saw many fossils and petrified redwood stumps.

Skipping ahead to Friday, when we finished our tour by visiting the Hornbek Homestead.

Some crazy people stole the wheels of the old wagons!

 Happy to have found a place to run!

  Gabriel earned his first Junior Ranger badge! Here he is taking the oath. He was so proud (and so were we of course)!
