We bought a new camera last week since our old one had a scratched lens with dirt on the inside. After doing much research, I decided to go for a Canon PowerShot SX130 IS. I like that it is a little bigger than most compact cameras, so I have better grip. The flash is very powerful and it has 10x optical zoom. And I love that it can take pictures as close as 1cm (less than half an inch) to an object!
Here are some of the first pictures and videos...click on the picture to see it full size!
Gabriel wasn't too sure about the new camera and wouldn't let me take his picture!

My new favorite picture!
Silly faces...he was making cow licks (and horse licks, chicken licks, dog licks etc.) in his hair.
Last weekend we went camping on the other side of the lake in Oklahoma. Just for 1 night, but it was fun to get out for a little bit! Gabriel loved it and said he wanted to live there (if we brought all his toys up there too)! Here he is sleeping in the tent...
Enjoying...uhm...destroying nature...

I'm 36, was born and raised in Holland, and moved to Texas when I married my cowboy Cary in 2005. Our son Gabriel is 7 years old and is in homeschool 2nd grade. Our daughter Naomi was born on January 27th, 2014. We live out in the country on a little hobby farm. I'm a Christian and try to love and serve the Lord with all my heart.
